I will say this - one of the best trailers of all time was for Phantom Menace.  As a trailer setting the stage for the movie, it was nearly perfect.

I'm a little late on replying here.  I admit that trailer got me hooked back then.  I'll also admit that Episode I had a kick ass Jedi fight sequence with Darth Maul, although Mark Hamill had a great sequence in Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back :)  Hey kids, it's Mark Hamill!

"I will return before you can say 'antidisestablishmentarianism'."

"A man may fight for many things. His country, his principles, his friends. The glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn."

Sir Slash

I will be the first to take the, "No-Spoiler Pledge". And promise to not make anyone here feel un-worthy for not being one of the Chosen Few to get see it first. Also I will try to act like I didn't like it even if I did so no one will feel bad. I just hope I don't catch Nerd-Sickness from anyone there.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

Twitter quips...

QuoteYeah but will I understand this Star Wars if I've had sexual intercourse?

QuoteI get that the movie is a big deal and marketing is important, but this commercial for Star Wars transvaginal mesh is a tad superfluous.

QuoteMillions of stars; one war.  Shouldn't it be "Stars War"?

And of course almost all the reviews are praising it to the high heavens so far.  ::)

The deeply cynical side of me wonders if it's because the movie is actually good, or if it's more that after the crap that was the so-called prequels, we'll shout hosannas for anything that's less than complete rubbish at this point?  I badly want to believe it's the former, but fear the latter.

It rolled the search results up your screen like the opening paragraphs in the Start Wars movies.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.
