Saw it this afternoon. Whereas it was well done, with some appropriately humourous lines and excellent effects; it felt like the script was a creative rewrite of Episoge IV.

Well I wasn't enthralled with TFA (unlike my ex, I feel no compulsion to go see it a second time), but I enjoyed it well enough.  I'd rank it about equal with A New Hope. 

Whatever its flaws -- and it has plenty IMO -- it does feel like a Star Wars movie.  Finally.  :)

I think there's something to what you're saying there, 40Cent.  In this case, however, I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing.

Kasdan essentially just did a polish of what they put together.

We were going to see it today, but the morning kind of dragged on, so maybe we'll see it tomorrow. Hopefully before we leave next weekend.
