I cannot believe none of us posted this.  If you're having trouble placing his name to a face, he was the general in Independence Day.

RIP. I always like him in whatever he did and he did a lot.

Side note:

When I was doing the voice work for Wing Commander Saga the producer sent me a clip that Loggia did for another game as an example of what he wanted from me.

The role I can most easily visualize him in is from The Sopranos.  Hardly his most famous, but the easiest one for me to picture

The Nine Lives of El Fuego Baca was the first show I saw him in.
