I'm on a major board wargaming kick at the moment as I've managed to free up some funds and my man-cave is slowly taking shape to give me room to play.

It started with me selling off most of my unloved ASL collection and then pre-ordering a couple of Lock 'n Load Tactical games. I wanted to update my first edition of Forgotten Heroes Vietnam so I pre-orderd Heroes of the Nam and then I saw Heroes of North Africa. Not having a tactical game for the desert campaign I had to pre-order that too.

While I was floating through BGG I noticed a couple of other games that I would really like so pre-ordered those as well. The first was Maori Wars: The New Zealand Land Wars, 1845-1872 from Legion Wargames. There's been no game on this topic that I know of, and the map looks stunning. Will be interesting to see how it plays.

Next one I've pre-ordered is the 25th Anniversary Edition of Silver Bayonet: The First Team in Vietnam, 1965 from GMT. I've always been interested in the Battle of the Ia Drang since reading Chickenhawk and We Were Soldiers Once ...and Young and this game looks awesome. Believe it or not, this will be my first ever GMT title.

And finally, just yesterday, lord save me, I bought a 2mm Corner Rounder from Oregon Laminations after reading this highly entertaining thread on BGG. The results look great so I'll be joining the ranks of the mad soon. :uglystupid2:

With these and my work on CO2 and my mega Berlin map/scenario for FCRS, 2016 looks like a great year for Wargaming for me  O0

I received my copy of Heroes of the Nam a week ago, very nice package even with all the errata. I'm hoping to break it out for a solo session soon, most probably a kiwi scenario.

I've also pre-ordered 2 more games, both from GMT: Fields of Fire 2nd Edition and Gallipoli, 1915: Churchill's Greatest Gamble, a grand-tactical monster on the Gallipoli campaign. I'm a sucker for anything Gallipoli, having studied the campaign and walking the Anzac sector of the battlefield.  I decided to get Fields of Fire after watching some YouTube lets plays, it looks like it will scratch my solitaire tactical itch. I've printed out the rulebook and I'm going to give it a go on Vassal soon too.  I'm considering pre-ordering Vol 2 as well, Marines in Peleliu, Korea and Hue looks awesome.

This thread has caused me to add the 2.5mm Radius Deluxe Corner Rounder Punch Cutter by Oregon Lamination Premium to my Amazon cart.  :D

I've had that one sitting on my wishlist for quite awhile.

Still haven't been able to quite justify dropping $50 on it.  Even though we wantss it.  That's a chunk of change not spent lightly.

Cue Barthsplosion in 3...2...

I bought Wing Commander and came *this close* to buying some corner rounders.

Then I realized the depths of madness that I was staring into and promptly abandoned my wicked ways.

It's almost as if the corner-rounding crowd feared the phallic symbolism of the hanging chad. And to that I say: be secure in your masculinity, whichever way your barn door swings!
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

It's not a fear of the hanging chad, it's just a love of the curves. Why hold a harsh pointy square with bits hanging off it when you can caress the smooth curves of beauty?  ^-^
