Apocalypse 31

I'm really digging it so far. Packed 7 hours away.

It's a mix of Borderlands and Ghost Recon.

I like it too. So far the only parts I have not liked are the ones that appeared to force me to work together with other players. So far, they have all been a$$holes.

Haven't gotten there yet, and that doesnt sound fun.

I think they could've done a better job highlighting the difficulty level in each area, and differences between each district; each district has a different difficulty level. If you look at the map, you have to zoom out at a perfect level so that you can see the districts, then hover your mouse over the district and it'll display the difficultly.

I found myself in a level 10 district (at level 4) and while I completed a few of my objectives, did get rolled up pretty hard.

Whats your loadout?

I'm rocking a turret and sticky bomb with RPK74 (LVL 9) and SCAR-H (LVL 7)

^I'm only a level 4. I have the P416 Assault Rifle, MP5 and M9. I also have a what looks like a Remington 870, but I haven't really used it yet. I have the sticky bomb equipped as my skill.

I can't say I've come across anything where I have to side with other players.

The very first story mission I played made it seem like I had to join with a group of other players. Perhaps it wasn't mandatory?

It is confusing with all the other players online in *your* world. When you get to the base at Hudson, there are lots of other real world gamers around and I was like "WTF?", but once I got out and headed into the map proper, I haven't seen a one - though you seem to be able to request a meet to get players to help.

I honestly cannot remember what the first story mission was - I've done so many side missions.

I'm just normally such a lone wolf even if I was being sheparded into playing with others, I'd have avoided it if at all possible. I don't mind meeting and playing with known people...but random gamers online (in general) are asshats. I've never had a good experience with that.

Apocalypse 31

I just made level 10 and picked up an M-60. :D

I've had no problems beating .....anything so far.

Skoop

The Story missions kick up to serious difficulty as you move on, so you kind of need the additional firepower of 4 guys...or atleast 3 other targets for the AI to shoot at while you take shots at them.

It is mixed bag as far as the types you get in coop...some groups are real cool and work together...some are a$$hats...it's life I guess.  You can mute their mics if they annoy you.

Playing the missions coop jump started the leveling up, because you get points not only for your kills and actions but also for the other guys in the group.  2 days in and I'm already at level 16 and 50% complete with the main missions.  It could really be a blast with a tight group, you could stay in the coop group as long as you want and go all over the SP part of the map or make a run into the dark zone.

I haven't even been to the Dark zone yet, going to make an incursion soon though.

It isn't. Each story mission has a 'floating matchmaking interface' thingy before its entrance, but if you want to solo it you just ignore it and enter.

This is a story based game?
Yes - well, there's a story line through it that ties it together so, well....yes.

The Story part is (no pun intended). :) Obviously.

The Dark Zone is not.
