On a B&W tv screen that was smaller than the window on my current microwave oven door.

My dad actually filmed a home movie of my mom and sister and I sitting there watching. Somewhere in my parents' attic the reel must still exist

Somebody had a television set in the barracks and I got a glimpse of the moon landing shortly before I was discharged from the army.
