Angels Fall First

Just a quick video showcasing Angels Fall First, a neat indie title that was originally born as a mod for Unreal Tournament. It is pretty impressive for small indie title. There is a lot going on here. The video is pretty quick, but I plan on making a 4 or 5 part series. This first video just shows off some of the tutorial training options and gives viewers a glimpse of what this game is all about.

This is also a test run to see if my mic situation is any better from the last video captured with Homeworld: DoK. I think the mic sounds louder, but sound overall is reduced. Still need to work on it.

Well you have some sort of distortion on the mic - not enough to make you inaudible, but it is there.

I also bought this game.  A lot of potential IMO, but it needs players - bit of a Catch 22 for a small indie title.

Well, I see there wasn't a tremendous amount of interest in this, but they just released a huge update with tons of new content, including 8 new maps, and wait for it....MECHS!

Ten years ago, we launched Angels Fall First into Early Access with a ridiculously ambitious goal: build the large-scale combined-arms sci-fi shooter we always wanted to play ourselves. Today, that journey reaches its destination!

It all started with the fantastic sci-fi universe and stories created by James Morris-King, to whom we owe our special thanks.

We'd also like to express our gratitude to the entire AFF Community, we wouldn't be here without you!

Is it perfectly polished and bug-free? Nope! Are we going to have to make a good few hotfixes to put the fires out in the coming days? Probably! Is it incredibly full of content and old-school fun and giant exploding spaceships? Absolutely yes!

We haven't increased the base price - we gave it a lot of thought and concluded AFF is exactly at the price point we feel comfortable with for now!

I still own this game from way back. But it seems like Star Citizen might be the thing to keep playing in this vein.
I should install this again. But it should have been an RTS. The ships are sooooo freakin cool.

I tried it and it seems really dated, but was ok fun I guess.
I have to try it again as I only played a land based level.
