I wasn't feeling too well today but the kids were dying to see Deadpool, so I relented and took them.

Holy hell was that a GOOD movie. I mean, right from the smart-ass credits to the homage bit at the end of the trailers. Very rarely does a movie just fly right by because I'm so engaged in it.

Rotten Tomatoes had 84% of critics like it and 95% of audience members like it.  I am going to see this one within the next 2 weeks when I get a gap in my work schedule.

I have to add, back in the 80s or very early 90s, if I saw a movie at the theater that I liked, I'd go back multiple times. I haven't done that since then. For Deadpool, I wouldn't hesitate to go see it again if I had someone to go with that wanted to as well.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Remember that b/c Deadpool is from the "mutant side" of the Marvel Universe, it's a totally different studio/company than the Iron Man - Thor - Captain America side

Enjoyed it.   

They spent just a bit too much time on the flashback stuff IMO, but not gonna complain much because the comedy in the rest was pretty good.

MD, I think you'd get a good laugh out of the movie. Reynolds and the movie both take digs at a couple of his past roles. One is during the opening credits.  :2funny:
