Grabbed the downloads and also purchased the print versions. This company has really learned how to take my money :P

Ah, missed it by a good few hours. No worries, still busy with Tactical demoes, the two of them, also eagerly waiting for the Dawn's Early Light to arrive  :)

Happy birthday!

Damn it. I missed it too.

Got to hand it to L&L Publishing, though: lately, they've really upped their "community engagement" efforts in noticeable (and welcome) ways.

Happy Birthday David,

Alas, I couldn't take advantage of your kind offer, .. as I, and others, no longer have access to the lnlpublishing website, due to the Error 403s.  :'(

It's been over a month now, .. and nothing is, .. seemingly, .. being done about the problem. Others have posted about the 403 problem on lnl's Facebook page.  :(

How am I supposed to get support for the games that I have purchased?, .. or buy any new games, .. when I no longer have access to the website or forums.

The problem is definitely related to the lnlpublishing website, .. or their Service Provider.  :-\

Cheers

Tried 4 different Browsers, .. 3 different ISPs & 8 different devices (PCs, Tablets, Phones etc) ... no joy

It all worked fine up until about a month ago.

It seems to be affecting non-USA countries .. e.g. South Africa, Russia, Croatia.  ::)

Definitely not a problem on my end, .. as I can access the other 100+ sites/forums that I visit regulary, .. without any problems.  :)

I'm sorry to hear that, all I can say is that it works for me here in Belgium (Europe).  Seems to be a weird issue.

Hi,

Maybe they're IP blocking it by Country then ,,  ??? .. I'm in South Africa, .. and a couple of guys from Russia posted on the LnL Facebook page that they were also getting Error 403s.

I just downloaded a trial version of one of those IP changing programs, .. and changed my IP to a UK one .. and I can connect fine, .. login to my account etc. etc..  :)

However, the trial is only valid for 7 days, and costs $30, .. which in South African terms, is a few hundred bucks, given our crappy exchange rate.   :o

Notwithstanding the fact, .. that I shouldn't have to purchase a $30 program, just to have access to a site, where I have purchased games.   :idiot2:

They need to sort out their website, or Service Provider, .. who is obviously blocking countries from having access.  :knuppel2:

There are plenty of free proxies available.

http://www.cyberghostvpn.com/en_us/free-proxy

If specific IPs are being blocked, it's likely because attacks have come from those IP ranges. If it's being done by an ISP, LnL may have little control over it.

I know Firefox has some addons that hide your IP or let you use a proxy server.  Never used them so can't recommend any of them or tell you if this contains any risks.
As with all addons you probably can turn them on only when you need it.

e.g. https://addons.mozilla.org/nl/firefox/addon/anonymox/

Easy anonymous web browsing.
– Change your IP-Address and country
– Visit blocked or censored websites.
– Delete cookies, show your public ip, and more

We provide the proxy servers, no external proxies or other programs required
