I loved Beetlejuice. One of my favorite movies from the 80s. Probably saw it 6-8 times in the theater. Absolutely do not want a sequel.

True confession: I've never been hugely fond of Beetlejuice (Betelgeuse), and I liked it less each time I watched it. Eventually I reached an event horizon, and I haven't watched it in... 15 years? More? Feels like it could be 20.

40K fans often treat Event Horizon as an unofficial prequel. I've only watched it once, long ago (before I knew much about 40K), but in hindsight I can see why.

...allowing me to warp back to the thread topic! Event Horizon 2: would that be an unnecessary sequel? (They sort-of set up for one, in a fashion, at the end.)
