Things are moving toward further automation, but not satisfied with an unmanned vessel.  To much can go wrong at sea.
Would really like some info on the technology involved.  The article makes it sound like a quantum leap has quietly occurred.  Again, not convinced.

That thing has been around for awhile now. Odd looking thing, but it would be handy in littoral waters.

I didn't read the whole thing but.... what's to keep someone from boarding it and stealing it...???
