For me im BETA testing 2 games, and playing GR:FS on PS3

In between trying to avoid family obligations I will be trying my damnedest to not get disconnected from Diablo III and killing The Butcher, that bastard.

Yes, but I'm also in the Guard...and even though I'm in the JAG Corps, we still have to undego general training which includes FEMA courses, HAZMAT, Response to Terrorism, etc.

i read of your pain - that would have been a bit too much for me i think, same as JH and his iron front battle - i dont know whether its our grogginess or just investiture in a game but when you play a battle and then get kicked, replaying never feels the same, like youve skewed history somehow - i had an epic MTW2 battle once using a mod - i forget which - and it crashed after id won - 25 men left out of 1500, the enemy wiped out - it was awesome but to reboot and play again and have such a 'non awesome' battle left me feeling robbed - uninstalled mod - couldnt get back into it after that

Gus, I can feel the anger swelling within you.  I get that way sometimes when I play my games as well.  Believe it or not, it's actually quite therapeutic to play (games) with such emotion.

Undercovergeek, I can definitely relate to what you're saying as well.  I hate having to replay for precisely the same reasons you mentioned.  My most recent incident was when I inadvertently deleted my Skyrim save file I never had the heart to start again, even with a brand new character.  I feel that since I had progressed so far I was unwilling to re-live the "history", even with a new character. 

It's far far easier to recover with a turn based strategy game than it is with an RPG.  In a TBS you can always play another scenario, map, or faction and get a brand new history (I'm thinking Civ or Total War here) but with RPGs, once you've experienced the story, it's just to stale to do it again.  Just my feelings anyway.

^I've had that crash happen to me in M2TW too. That one resulted in even more geek rage, if you can imagine it. It also happened less than an hour after a 'spirited discussion' with The Wife. Lots of rage to go around.

W8 it did not feel too therapeutic last night. I almost burned my house down.

Isn't there an online petition for Diablo - to have offline play or something ? I'm sorry guys- you'll have to bear with me when it comes to RPG stuff....I like space and military games, but I never got into the wizards and warriors thing....

Playing "Sword of the Stars 2" now that its all patched up. Actually, its quite good.

Everytime I think that, I start playing a new game.  Then a few days later, another huge patch is released that seems to fix some pretty obvious and basic problems.  Its very hard to assess where the game is now in terms of completion.

True. At this point, it is essentially feature complete and i have had no crashes. Turns process quickly enough. Look at the fixes.on todays huge patch, all bug fixes. So basically, its up to the standard of most releases. Regardless of bugs, none are gamestoppers and the game is a blast. You really cant beat the combat in any 4x
