This was a surprisingly good action movie. It has a visual flair and some very good performances from an excellent cast. Great role for Keanu Reeves who has been in so many terrible films recently. Oh yeah, the soundtrack is fantastic and well integrated into the movie.

Watch it when you have a chance.

And a sequel on the way.

For that matter, I heard good things about the Reacher movie from around the same time, and the sequel is either out or almost here -- and looking quite good!

Reacher was pretty good too, but John Wick is much more stylized and fun imho. It's totally over the top and the plot is absurd, but it's a lot of fun to watch. Any movie with Ian McShane and Willem Dafoe can't be all bad ;)

I saw Wick and thought it wasn't too bad. Three guys beat the hell out of him with a baseball bat in the beginning and then 300 can't stop him with machine guns from killing them all in the end. But that was before they saw he had lots of tats. After that they all knew to just let him shoot them. How could that not be good?

Sounds like a revival of 80's action movies.

I finally saw this myself about a week ago and really enjoyed it. Excellent action flick with some terrific gunfight sequences.
