Quote from:  Andrew Wilson, the CEO of Electronic ArtsFrom the minute I get up in the morning, everything I do has an impact on my gaming life, both discrete and indiscrete. The amount of eggs I have in my internet-enabled fridge might mean my Sims are better off in my game. That length of distance I drive in my Tesla on the way to work might mean that I get more juice in Need for Speed. If I go to soccer practice in the afternoon, by virtue of internet-enabled soccer boots, that might give me juice or new cards in my FIFA product. This world where games and life start to blend I think really comes into play in the not-too-distant future, and almost certainly by 2021.

That shit's crazy, man.  No way in hell do I want anything life related tied to something gaming related; I play to relax and the last thing I want is the two to mix even the slightest little bit.

nice try Andrew :idiot2:

ah, i see and the longer the criminals record in reallife the better get his stats in GTA 6, right?
...and will a black person get better stats on cop killing ingame? Do i as a German will get a better stat when playing an SS soldier in a WW2 game instead of the Russians? where does it end?

its just a scam scheme to data-mine customer to smithereens.

give me all your privat live data (i sell for big bucks) and as a reward you get a tiny tiny better stat on some virtual item in a EA game. No way! :knuppel2:

Tesla ? Hahaha, i still drove a 27y old 4wheeler Landcruiser running on fuel-oil! and with manual shift!, who put more political incorrect nitrogen oxides in the air on a wintersday startup then a whole fleet of hipster Teslas in there life time (until the driving assist totaled it and killed the Tesla owner in a fatal accident while the blackbox CPU was to busy uploading data to EA instead of whighting image analysis versus sensor datas) ....and i love it >:D

... or maybe not, when you take into account the amount of crap generated making a huge inefficient battery, which will need replacing again in 3 - 5 years anyway, not to mention the crap turned out by the power station doing your re-charge every hour for the 40 miles you can drive..... electric cars are just another crap idea promulgated by the same limited view "futurist" that wrote this article.

...aah, glad I got that off my chest.

So what is "limited view"?  I genuinely would like to know, because the quote in the OP seems to be embracing quite a large idea.

There's a lot more to the article than just that quote above.  Go read it and see what you think.
