My wife and I are going to Gettysburg this weekend.  We picked a great weekend to walk around the battlefield - it will be 60 F on Saturday, and 63 F on Sunday.

It turned out to be a great day to see Gettysburg.  It wasn't too crowded, and the weather was just great.  I got to visitor center about 0915, took in a bit of the museum (didn't see the fused musket balls, although I breezed through rather quickly), did a bus tour (which was good), saw the movie (which wasn't anything special), and saw the restored cyclorama (good) before visiting the gift shop, where I bought the book The Rifle Musket in Civil War Combat: Reality and Myth.  Afterwards, stopped by a model store in town, where they had some games, including some old AH classics there were not in very good shape.  Driving back to my hotel in the afternoon, the temperature gauge in my truck said it was 71 F, so I had a cigar outside of my hotel while I read my WWII book on my kindle.

Life was good today. O0

I have to say that sounds like an almost perfect day, trailrunner.  You lost points though.  In the perfect day you would have bought an ah classic and read the rules with your cigar.

That does sound like an excellent day. My brother and I went to Gettysburg in 2004. We drove and tromped around the grounds, and argued Fields of Fire all day in the rain. We didn't give a damn. That was a great day too.
