Alternatively, you may want to sign up for our newsletter here https://bit.ly/BoC_newsletter_signup

Not suggesting this is in ANY WAY connected with your message but I am downloading the demo now.

Nice job Sir !!

Please let us know what you think of the Demo.  Unfortunately, the demo gives only a small taste of the campaign, which follows the footsteps of the 7th Infantry Regiment, from training in Virginia, to Fedala, Morocco and all the way to Berchtesgaden.

Sir Slash

Will do. Unfortunately, this whole Life-Thing is pretty intrusive at times.

Just completed the first boot camp tutorial.

It is very different from other tutorials in feel (in a good way). The breaking of the 4th wall with the dev commentary is really good as the reasoning for design choices becomes clear and brings the player along with the concept.

One aspect I am having a few problems with is the repeat clicking to select the leader or the squad  (or both) in a hex. No issue with the number of clicks (only one or two but in working out whether both or just one of the leader or unit is selected...a gold outline to make the highlighting clearer on the selected element(s) would be helpful but maybe I am just dense :-).

Overall the feel of the game is very much drawing me in and is definitely unique.

Just my initial musings...more to come as I play.

Devoncop-Thanks for your comments.  We worked hard on the tutorials to  make some of the game concepts clear, as the campaign uses "permadeath."  In other words, when you lose a leader they are dead, and can't be resurrected via a game save.  Because of that, we believe it to be important to teach the game concepts during the "boot camp" tutorials (which incidentally, also mimics what real life boot camp does, for pretty much the same reasons  ).
Thank you for your comment on the double clicking.  I've forwarded that to Luke, the developer.

Gimpy Gamer (a disabled USMC vet) does a play through of the demo. He tells a few of his own war stories while doing so, so it is a bit more entertaining than a lot of "Let's Play"
