WTH?  Your country's problems with developing/building military hardware seems to be officially approaching absurd levels (not that we're much better)...

Too much political interference is the problem. If the Liberals hadn't cancelled the EH-101 purchase back in the mid 90's the RCN wouldn't be in its current fix. I can't believe that the F-35 purchase will go any better.

Between the US and Canada, it's hard to tell which country has bigger procurement problems.

Canada does.
ours my cost a fuckton but they work.
Canada buys second hand and it fails.
the stuff they bought new is so old it makes Windy look like a teenager.  ;)
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Agreed. The only thing we seem to have got right in recent memory were the Halifax class frigates and they are going on 20 years old! At this rate they will be going out of service before the Sea King replacements arrive. :(

Well the F-22 isn't exactly working. The F-35 program is a mess. The LCS ships are behind schedule, overbudget, and don't seem all that capable. The lead ship of  San Antonio-Class LPDs wasn't even seaworthy when commissioned.

The advantage we have over Canada is that we can keep throwing money against the wall until something sticks.

well, our tanks already come with A/C.  the F-22 is doing a lot better then the Arrow.  and the LCS schedule is more a problem with congress they the builders.  and they are QUITE capable.  and except for disgruntled sailors our subs dont catch fire.  8)

Sikorsky got a 100 million dollar bonus and they don't want to deliver the helicopters?  Make em give the money back and cancel the program.  See if that makes them change their tune.
