I think I may have posted this before, but I remember one winter when I was in Iceland where the wind did not go below 35 knots for 2 straight weeks.  Some days it was a steady 50-60. 

You want to talk about trying my patience, that was downright maddening.

Anytime in the winter, though, you had to be aware of where the wind was coming from when you opened your car door or the wind would snatch the door out of your hand and bend it backwards against the front of your car.  We called the fold it put in the metal of your door the "Keflavik crease."

Now we're talking.  I had to turn the heat off in the house last night, it was downright balmy outside!   :smitten:

Rained like a mother, though.  Thank goodness it wasn't cold enough for snow or we would have been absolutely clobbered.

Rained here yesterday even though is was -5C.... so of course this morning there's 1/4" of ice coating my entire vehicle. 30+ minutes to chip it off even with it running and all the heating thingys doing their thing.  >:(

Another storm to appear out of nowhere. Am I reading that correctly, more than 6" for NYC? I'm actually going to be in the city Saturday night...guess I am staying the night.

Nope, seeing my junior high buddies for List Night. We do this periodically...Saturday's lists include Top 30 Soundgarden songs and Top 40 David Bowie songs. Accompanied by mixes we make - the theme this time is 'Songs Your Parents Loved and You Hated and Now Love.' Yes we are uber nerds. We've had List Nights for 20+ years.
