I know I couldn't find any HARM loadouts pre-mission builder. I haven't checked the game or the builder since the builder release.

There are HARM loadouts on the E/A-18 Growler.  Unfortunately, they can be fired at targets that never radiate.

The ability to kill non-radiating land bases with HARMs is something out of the past.  You used to be able to do the same in Harpoon Classic; kill Keflavik with an infinite stream of HARMs and Harpoon anti-ship missiles.  :(

Paradox is known to publish games before they're "ready" from a US perspective. They faithfully patch the game, but as well all know it's not uncommon for them to head out the door needing some patches.

OTOH, I interviewed the devs some time ago and they made it clear that while NWAC was going to be a strategy game, it would be somewhat abstracted and lean toward the fun side of the spectrum. I was never under the impression that we'd get a hard, hard core naval war sim.

Many of us *want* a harder core experience, but I'm not sure NWAC was meant to be that game.

I'm really looking forward to Command. I'm not really happy about there plan to lock down the database. I was planning on doing a futuristic scenario, set in the 2030's, with fighters/bombers like you saw in the movie stealth, with BBG class ships fighting it out Jutland style but with a lot more range. But the developers have said that they won't allow any of those type of units into the database that plan is out the window.

I believe they are searching for a publisher. As far as the game database, they could be planning on that. My impression however is that the guys making Command, are one "faction" of the harpoon community, and want only units/system/etc that they approve of as part of the game database.  To me its a stupid and outdated idealogy. I can understand having one game database so that you don't have to recreate every unit in each scenario. But ff I want cruise missiles that can shoot halfway around the world in my scenario I should be able to mod them IMO.

I do have Harpoon. I bought the Ultimate Edition or whatever Matrix calls the combo pack that has 3 or 4 different versions all in one. I've tried getting into it but the outdated UI really turns me off. I have a vacation coming up in a few months, maybe I'll mess around with the editor then. I'll definitely keep your offer in mind.
