Glad as hell I'm not one of those idiots standing in line to see the new Avengers movie.... I stood in line with the Thursday Night Idiots last night instead.    Birth of America 2: The French & Indian War when I can duck a chore or two. I love this little game, it's very well done and one of my favorite periods. Happy End-of-April Weekend Grogs!

By the hair on my chinny chin chin I defeated the Greeks last night in the second battle of my Philip of Macedon campaign in Field of Glory 2. The last count was 63% of the Greeks routed/destroyed to 59% of my Macedonians. Now it's on to Thrace, but I am a little nervous that I don't have enough troops to take them on. I'll find out, I guess. Then it's on to the Alexander the Great 'What If' campaign.

Also may play some Apotheon...have had that game forever.

  Some boardgame Hoplitic warfare (Tyrants! or something), the usual War thunder moments of wonder (as in last night everything seemed to bounce off my Sherman II -- perhaps I accidently angled the thing properly three times in a row? or my ping was close to ZERO?  Or the Germans were shooting HE in hopes of hitting me in the back while I was facing them?  Or they were trapped in Zoom in Sniper mode? or they could not stop themselves from backing behind a building, waiting for me to reload and then driving out with their sides exposed?) and some Republican Bayonets on the Rhine (Tourcoining -- perhaps the most confused battle of 1793).

Will be attempting to play Lucasarts' Their Finest Hour on actual vintage Amiga 500 connected to Commodore 1084S monitor.

1st hurdle is flint-knapping a working power supply from old ATX PSU and lots of colored wire, along with Amiga power plug sourced from eBay.

This weekend I have some more Target For Today, a game that shall-not-be-named here (hopefully), and maybe some re-organization in my spaces. I need to honestly take an inventory of all the board games I have and maybe get some to the table that I haven't had much time for. Like Colonial Twilight, yes. :(

I ask this with all respect, seriously?  You couldn't escape that song on AOR radio for years.

Been super busy this last month.  Probably played a total of ten hours of games.  Got a little time tonight and it will be Civ IV as Zara Yaqob.  Playing on Prince with 3 AI.  Charlemagne just declared on me after spending the entire game as a valuable trading partner.  He was already at war with Isabella, who I warred with earlier.  She immediately asked to reopen our borders and I have sent a strike team to gain experience killing Franks.

That said...no judgement here. I've pretty much got something to offend everyone in my collection. Usually Skinny Puppy does the job but every now and again I need to break out Lords of Acid. Based on their music I can only imagine how their live shows were.

That said I still miss Type O- and Peter Steele. Damn shame he was taken from us way before his time.

^YES!!! You even have The Wheel! Damn does that take me back to my happy place, replete with my Amiga, mom's foundation, Peter Steele (and Murphy) statuettes. And that setup looks brand new, like it is actually 1990 right now. Awesome.
