Speaking of depression, I got called for Jury Duty today.  :pullhair:  The trail begins 9am Monday.  >:( >:( Boy, is that guy getting fried.    Until then, Combat Mission Red Thunder to put me in the mood. Have a great last weekend of October Grogs.

If you want to get out of it an shirk your civic duty, just tell them you cannot be "fair and impartial"...

Or go to law school and become a prosecutor.  You'll never sit in a jury box again.... :)

I actually agree with the judge.  As a former trial attorney, I would have liked to have had the experience of being on a jury.  Mostly out of curiosity, but I think it would have made me a better trial attorney.  Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely I will every get the chance, because of my work background.

^Case in point, I passed on a few beers at dinner last night at home because the family is going out to dinner tonight, where I'll have 1 or 2. But when I woke up this morning I still felt like I drank! Not fair.

I've reached the point where a hangover will sometimes stretch into a second day.  That sucks.

I've limited my beer consumption to one pint max in a four hour period.  My diabetes cannot handle more than that without potentially running into problems. 
Fortunately, there is Scotch.

I got the Diabetes curse too. I drink mostly mixed drinks so my struggle was finding something to mix that didn't have a lot of sugar or carbs, and I could stand to drink. Sprite or 7-UP is not too bad but there are some flavored waters that have zero sugar and aren't too bad especially with Rum. My biggest foe, and ultimate sacrifice, was milk. I've gone totally to Cashew Milk and rarely drink that. Almond milk I couldn't stomach. I would kill my best friend for a bowl of Frosted Flakes with ice cold milk.
