Does anyone know if the price will be going up after the game is officially released?

I'm pretty sure the $20 will be the going price.  It seems to be a sweet spot as far as price points go.  Dunno if Paradox still dictated that price or not, but that may be the case and they do like that number, too.

Considering that they'll be making regular DLC for it, it also fits the marketing mold there.  AGEOD guys have stated there are plans to release a number of DLC scenario & campaign packs and that they didn't want to look like they were "gouging" their customers with a big cost up front, and a steady stream of expansions.  I love these guys.  :-*

I don't think Paradox has anything to do with this development.  I thought that Ageod and Paradox split after the Nappy fallout.

It's 19.99.  I've already pre-ordered.   ;D

IIRC, AGEOD is still owned by Paradox.  Right?

No matter.. the pricing was for the DLC and 'gouging' purposes anyway.

I don't know honestly.  Anyway the fact is that this game is a 3d party development like RUS and I've got high hopes for an awesome ancient Roman operational level TBS game.

These guys are great!

Quote from: PhilThibYes, this is an excellent price. Because the team also promised up more developement in the coming months, we did not want to look like milking customers

Yes this sounds better than what Battlefront is doing.

I would be up for MP, too, W8.  Things are settling in nicely with my girlfriend, so playtime, especially PBEM should be no problem.

Sounds good MetalDog.  Good to hear you've got yourself a nice routine.  Your girlfriend must really understand how important games are to us men.   :)

Let's set something up soon then.  Speaking of routines now that the kids are back in school I should have a little more extra time during the week day evenings for another PBEM game or two.

Somewhere in the chatter on the AGEOD forums I noticed that they claim to have new tools for checking data structures and impacts in scenarios -- RUS apparently had major scenario-specific problems.  Which may be why they needed these tools.

For those who pre-ordered...and this is going to sound ridiculous...how did you view the AGEOD site in English? I can only view it in French...

Itty bitty English flag icon? I'm not sure anymore as it was a few days ago.

I translated it with my browser.

But all the confirmation emails are coming through in French since I missed the itty bitty British flag icon...today is not my day...

So I have a confirmation number now but I am guessing I can't use it until the 19th of September right?
