I know a couple of people have played it here - can you tell me two things?

1. I have performed all gang tasks and missions on the Morning Star section of the map (the ones shown like Heli Assault and Tank Assault) and I own all buildings - how come there are still some small segments of area not purple? I've looked around and can't see anything to do in these sectors

2. This may be related to 1....how come Morning Star only shows 91% mine?

You need to drive around and look for groups of baddies to kill. Occasionally you run upon a street event and you basically just have to take out the group.

It could be story quest related as well. Some story quests open up new types of activities.

I have completed all tasks there and drove around...only finding one or two individual gang members (and killing them brings a whole load)...but I'll have another look - thx SoM.

When you find a street event, they will have little red flags above their heads. Kill the marked guys and it should grant you control over the area.

I think I've actually spotted a gang fight, helicopter assault and Freaky show I haven't done yet. DOH!

Yeah, you  sometimes have to look on top of buildings. I have 100% control of the city, so I am the right guy to ask! Later, there is buyable that allows you to immediately control one section of the city. I used this for a particularly heinous area with those idiotic insurance claim minigames.
