I would just pay attention to the system specs on the older games. Matrix sometimes has a bad habit of not updating older games so they run smoothly on more current systems. If you aren't sure, check the Matrix forums for folks having technical problems.

I have played most of the games, and I think there are a few "stinkers" or "mediocrity squared" titles.

Games I would not touch are:
-Assault Team (just bad)
-Time of Wrath (just something "off" with this one for me)
-Tigers on the Hunt (I just found the interface to be tedious)
-Kharkov (couldn't get it to run on my rig)

OK games are:
-Heroes of Normandie
-Heroes of Stalingrad
-Conflict of Heroes (the interface holds it back)

Highly Recommend:
-Steel Panthers

Steel Panthers is indeed awesome. I didn't realize there were 2 pages, so I didn't even see it until I went back and looked.

Bought it. Started it up. Crashed. Will try again late.

If a game doesn't run use the forums - some games are quite easy to "fix", some impossible. Don't know how technically adept you are but LaunchBox & DOSbox can be useful for some older games.

My Win11 rig is usually pretty sensitive when it comes to running older games. For some reason Matrix's latest version of Steel Panthers runs fine for me...guess I just got lucky.

Some other things to try are running the game "as administrator," trying some of the "compatibility modes," skipping the Matrix menu and running the SPAWAW executable directly, and temporarily turning off any anti-virus protection.

I've enjoyed Conflict of Heroes and the DLC.  It's based on a board game that I haven't played, so I can't compare the two versions but I've had fun with Matrix's computer version.

Been a few years since I touched Steel Panthers, but do recall the Shrapnel version overall a much better game for modern systems: https://www.shrapnelgames.com/Camo_Workshop/WW2/WW2_page.html
