Me?  BoC work.  Fight Club work.  Doing some turns in CMBN tournament.  Some WarPlan turns.  And reinstalling CMO because I didn't notice that the recent update was for the Steam edition.... :embarrassed:

Been playing Distant Worlds 2 and I have a pretty good game going. May also try to get into some MSFS 2020. I haven't been giving my modules much play. Finally, got preview code for ICBM: Escalation, so I'll tinker with that too.

Xcom 2 longwar 2

All starting areas liberated, plus now Indonesia and western USA, eastern USA and central are in the liberation cycle. New Mexico and east Africa are advents centres of power and their strength there is 8 compared to 2-5 everywhere else meaning the baseline difficulty for a mission is moderate (20 enemies) as opposed to extremely light at 7 enemies so they're tough nuts to crack

I have started infiltrating the forge in Eastern Europe for what I thought was the penultimate mission but a new advent base has popped up in Peru - it looks like I'll have to make contact with the entire globe to finish the game - we'll see

Everyone is on plasma weapons and high grade armour and there is nothing left to research - I'm definitely in the final throes

After that EU4 and the long wait to sea powers release in November

Helping the Mrs. with her estate sale side-gig; so I get to see people buy dead people's stuff more or less.

Deceased estates can have some really cool gear. How many of us will die with nobody knowing how valuable our bookshelf full of osprey books really is :p

Love Mellencamp!

Mostly Distant Worlds 2 and Civ 4

Cheers

Struggling with Space Marine 2.  I'm too old and slow for shooters.  Only bought it because you can never have too many WH40K games!

Spending more time with "Aska" a Viking themed survival/base/village management game that hits the "suspension of disbelief" button nicely for me. Bear attacks, undead waves and deadly winters keep me on the edge with this game. Keeping your villagers alive, fed, housed, watered and well employed is a constant struggle.

Will also try to get the "7 Days to Die," "Darkness Falls" mod up and running.

And, if time allows, maybe spend some model bench time on a Tamiya 1/35 M-41 Walker Bulldog.

Yeah; I know my kids are going to be going through my books and say something like, "Man...Dad has a lot of books about nazis, this "Warhammer," thing, and horror."

Having said that, I'd strongly put forward that folks need to think about what they are going to potentially leave behind for others to deal with and map that exit strategy sooner rather than later.  And from what I've seen, large amounts of place settings/plates/etc. just don't ever move at all.  Good odds that your Boomer folks have more than one set of china - most I've seen is someone having 4 or 5 - and that is what you will wind up having to hope sells if you go an estate route or it's going to be dropped off at a Goodwill.  Youngsters just don't want it.  Books are somewhat similar but I've seen sales run hot and cold there (i.e. your mileage may vary).  Beanie Babies, Hummel figures, etc. which was thought to be a good "investment," wind up going for pennies in the end.  End of the day, what is important to you & something you collected is probably just not the same for your family and do you want to stick them with having to deal with that stuff?  Food for thought.

Geezer. Have you ever thought of putting your hand up to be in a Dreadnought suite? :P

Yeah. You would think though that putting all that stuff on Ebay\Amazon would reach the right market and therefore fetch good prices. If it's a garage sale style event then yeah, odds are nobody even knows or cares what value has. The market it too small.

In my local area they have really good book sales that I occasionally attend where a charity runs off deceased estate books at giant hall style venues. Lots of fun to look through. But unless you go at 6am and line up you won't beat the folk that are often retired that ebay everything after cherry picking the good stuff.

Word.  The Venn diagram of people doing estate sales and antique dealers/sellers attending the sale is practically the same circle.  For a person/people not in the mix, it's hard to get something of worth (but that descriptor is really dependent upon who wants what and when and how much they want to spend).

Logged into World of Warships and got my free tier VI gift for the anniversary. Not sure I will bother playing it though.
Half way through a sins2 game with two friends. Still hard to get them together to complete it though.
Company of Heroes 3 - I generally do the daily challenges with friends. Love the skins.
Space Marine 2 - Have seen two hackers so far wipe the floor in VS multiplayer. A picture of one hanging in the air with a heavy bolter and shield just plastering the spawn point is provided.
Scourge of War remastered - so far only got time enough to watch my men march for 15mins while I got walked around getting ready for bed.

TANGENT: With regard to books. I have often imagined how a thousand years from now. Experts in 20th/21st century archaeology will have to be experts in magnetic charge detection methods and encryption languages to read all the old hard drives they find... well the ones that were not recycled. Another world they need in sci-fi might be a knowledge archive world. But then I guess unless they are preserved most of our books will fade and the ink will become unreadable eventually anyway.
