The Airborne expansion for CtA - GoH brings you the 82nd and 101st US Airborne Divisions in a superbly detailed storyline, following the US airborne operations in western Europe in an exciting and immersive new format.
It features some of the most iconic battles fought by US paratroopers in World War 2.

Novelties in the DLC

As the title suggests, Call to Arms - Gates of Hell: Airborne focuses on airborne operations, or more precisely – missions involving paratroopers from the American 82nd and 101st Airborne Divisions. They influenced the course and outcome of World War II.

The DLC offers 12 new story missions, in which we lead soldiers through France, Belgium, the Netherlands and Germany, fighting enemy forces in places such as St. Mere-eglise or Brecourt Manor, as well as participating in the famous Market Garden operation and defending Bastogne in the winter of 1944. The culmination of our efforts, however, is the historic crossing of the Elbe.

When designing new missions, the authors made every effort to make them as spectacular as possible, and at the same time deep and complex. They have also been enriched with new or improved features such as expanded secret objectives. The list of new features is closed by 7 vehicles and over 100 environment elements.

Call to Arms: Gates of Hell has developed into a great WWII RTS. Graphics are somewhat behind the times, but this is compensated by the first person option in gameplay. Basically, the game allows FP control of individual troops. A nice feature.

The game has a few warts, but many, many more pluses IMHO.

Glad to see the DLC, and I have purchased.

I've watched some of the videos. It looks gorgeous alright but there's a whole lot going on sometimes and even in the videos it seems hard to tell what's always happening. Love the sound effects.
