This game released today. Its from the same crew that developed Syrian Warfare and it is a very similar game. It is an RTS, but it has what I'll call "authentic style" weapons, units and concepts (ie. cover, concealment, ballistics, etc.). The campaign is shameless Russian propaganda, to the point of being offensive, but if you can get past that, its a fairly good game, as were the previous titles from this developer. Its surprisingly cheap too, at only $14.99.

Check it out.

Interesting. There is a demo.
Explosions are explosions.

I can sit propaganda like movies for the kit in them. It's not ideal, but often the only way to
see them. The movie T-34 or tanks of stalin are good examples of movies I watched for the tanks.
Same with that new movie, Tiger I think it was?

I knew it was a propaganda piece when they described the Airbourne assault as "brilliant".  Didn't that operation fail miserably and everyone of those guys kia/pow ?

Can you at least play as the Ukrainians ?

I played Syrian Warfare and its Palmyra DLC by this developer. It was pretty entertaining with some interesting mechanics.

I have mixed views over gaming current conflicts. I'm happy to play "future" or hypothetical ones like ICBM escalation, CMANO etc. Playing games with pixeltruppen is one thing. Of course we play in the abstract, but the Ukraine War, same as the Iran war is happening right now and its real people dying and being mangled. For that reason I'll probably steer clear of it, no matter how good the game is. It is just too close, and FWIW I think disrespectful to play it as a game when it is happening right now. Just my personal opinion.
The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own. Aldous Huxley

Negative. It just has a campaign and its all glory to Russia. Seriously, it seems that for every atrocity committed by the Russian military in the war, the campaign claims it is the Ukrainians who committed it.

Still, if you can put that aside, there is a good and challenging modern combat game here. It would be surprising were it not for the other games that this developer has worked on. There is something appealing about them all.

Why disrespectful? I don't see how one can logically draw an ethical difference between wargaming an ongoing conflict from one that occurred in the past. I suppose it is ok if you make a personal decision not to explore a particular conflict, but to suggest that those who do are somehow disrespectful is a stretch. I assure you NATO is wargaming the conflict in Ukraine. Is that disrespectful? Of course not, it is academic and professional. I'd like to think most of us here approach our gaming from the same perspective.

I don't mind gaming the conflict, I agree with you, there's perspective to gain.  I just have issue gaming as the baddies, for myself to be clear.  I'm not trying to be gaming karen and tell you what you can and can't play.

Here's an example, when I play warthunder, whenever I use Russian equipment, I plaster it with Ukrainian flags to protest putin, otherwise I'd probably never touch those vehicles.  Plus, it trolls Russians during the match and lets them know that this westerner hasn't forgotten what's going on there even with the Iran distraction.

On the other hand not everyone wants to mix politics with gaming and that's entirely ok.

To be clear, I wasn't saying that if you or anyone else play the game were actually being disrespectful to anyone. I was simply expressing  a personal view as to why I decided to pass on it.

I get what you say about past and future conflicts, and that is legitimate. I play both types of games. From an academic and professional point of view, I agree with you too.

The point of my comment was based on the fact that this is an event happening right now. In my view it seems just a bit too close to "enjoy" as a game without trivialising what is actually happening.
