I've had my eye on that for a while. I am attracted by both the history and the setting but just haven't pulled the trigger.

All look pretty good, are all grog type games so should keep me busy for a while.

Really interested in Bloody April. Almost picked it up but as I'll probably end up playing solo mostly I'm woried it won't get much table time.

I'd like to know what you think of the game when you get a chance to play it.

+1 Same here.  I was looking at the game at my FLGS over the weekend; a big, heavy box with some sweet looking graphics on the back of the box.  I'd be curious to read some more AAR's (I've read a few online already).

+1 Same here.  I was looking at the game at my FLGS over the weekend; a big, heavy box with some sweet looking graphics on the back of the box.  I'd be curious to read some more AAR's (I've read a few online already).

I got from NWS for the sweet price of $31.00.  I haven't played yet, but on the quality of the components alone, the game is wonderful.  Love the heavy box...like the Command and Colors series.  The counter art is wonderful, and the rules are printed on high quality polished paper.  There is a very nice playbook with historical information, and some great pics and art.  The board is not mounted, but is on stiff cardboard like the MMP ASL boards.  Some very colorful, nicely done player aids, as well as two decks of aircraft data cards, not for playing, but for recording the specifications of each aircraft type.  GMT always has great quality components, but this game raises the bar.

The rules seem pretty extensive, and the rulebook is a good 40 pages long.  Although it uses a pretty big font, and in typical GMT fashion, plenty of illustrations and examples of play. 

The board game geek page has a nice AAR of one of the patrols done with the vassal module.  Also some vids to explain the rules.

I am looking forward to some PBEM play on this with vassal.

Hopefully, I'll get to take it for a test run this weekend....will let you know how it works

I just picked this up about 30 minutes ago.  Now I'm off to read the rules.  This is my second LnL game and I'm very impressed with the quality.

Looking forward to seeing what you think DV8.  I've have been slowly learning LnL Band of Heroes and really enjoying it so it would be nice to see what another of their games is like.

Lots of praise for that game over at the Geek; summed up as an easy to learn, quick to play game with beautiful components.  I'm not much into the hypothetical WW3 or platoon size games, but I can appreciate what Mark Walker has done here.  Now if I could make heads or tails of his LnL rules, then I'd finally be able to add "Day of Heroes" to my "have played" list!

Found an unpunched copy of 3Ws Lawrence of Arabia ('93 reprint) on ebay for $1.

If you enjoy the 3W issue games, the very best of all time was Campaigns of Marlboro.
Still utterly surprised no one has tried to republish, or do something with it.
