After the patching I was happy to see a number of things fixed. I was rather elated when my Skjold automatically started to engage an ss-n-19 with the deck gun after it came into range. THose are the lttle things that make a big difference.

No, actually I was waiting for it to be patched a bit then subsequently forgot all about it.  Perhaps I'll give it another bash this weekend.  Glad you're enjoying it, MM.

Nah.  The game locks up on me on the Ragnarok scenario on both of my PCs.  I gave up on it as the devs haven't made a peep of the support forums in months.

Gave up on it.  Presently waiting for Command (what a bad game name!):

This is the only insanity that prevents me from taking much interest in the game.

How many strategy games don't have a Save Game feature these days?   ::)

It's the reason I don't play Achtung Panzer - Kharkov 1943.  It's just insane that you can't save mid-battle.  I bought the collector's edition and everything, but it just sits there, unplayed.

dabbling but cant get past the save joke

also waiting for Command

I gave up waiting on patches too, and can't get past the inability to save.  I'm bummed too, because the game seemed like it was going to have a lot of potential.

It seems like I've been saying that last bit about an awful lot of games this year.  Probably why I'm spending all of my time playing five year old games from Prosim and Battlefront.

Never had the time to sit down and play.  Having a save feature is crucial for naval games.

Also hoping for a save game feature before I dive back in - lots else to play anyway!

I tried to play NWAC a few weeks ago. Not having a save isn't really critical in the short early scenarios, but as the game goes on it is a must have. I don't have a lot of time to devote to gaming, and one scenario might take multiple sessions. I checked the developer boards, they seem to have been absent for a few months, and the one response I found said they currently have no plans to add a save feature. Not sure why it is so difficult to add, what game doesn't have the ability to save?

I was really looking forward to Command, but I think I'm going to have to pass on it.

Haven't played it in ages, no saving means it's a no-go for me. Which is a shame as I really enjoyed the early scenarios. If they'd added that and got rid of the abrupt mission ending I would have been very happy with it.

Yeah, me too but you'll be happy to know Achtung Panzer - Operation Star and it's expansions have a save feature.

It looks like a good game and I wish the developers the best of luck with it. I don't agree with them locking down the database to modders. I've had a idea to do a 2030+ scenarios for awhile. Guided missile battleships/cruisers with effective anti ship missiles, and a really dangerous SAM environment for aircraft. All set in a Red Storm Rising futuristic Cold War. May not be realistic, but I think it could make for sme interesting scenarios, especially since command models land warfare as well. Inwould be happy even if the main database stayed the same, and I had to add nits and systems in a scenario per scenario bases.

IIRC the developers will and system that you request, but only if they follow their guidelines, and they have said no futuristic weaponry.

I may pick it up if/when it goes on sale, but probably not at release.
