Ooh, Heretic was a decent game.

My son played it, but I was an unbeliever....
My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

QuoteHowever, if the Union won too many lopsided battles in a row, the campaign would just be unrecognizable.

The Union campaign is mostly historical, the main hypotheticals are for the Confederates. The variants of most battles are quite balanced. You can get an advantage or two if you won a major victory in a previous battle, but that's about it. It's also nearly impossible to win a major victory in some battles to begin with, just like their historical counterparts.

Playing as the Confederates is enjoyable up to the point where you get to battles where the Union has 20-30 artillery units.
