This is a really interesting article on how Starcraft II is being used to study how people learn and process information:

StarCraft II Is The Greatest Learning Tool That Isn't Being Taught In Any School

QuoteFor educators in the 21st century, online communities like those that have grown up around StarCraft offer exciting models of peer-based learning environments. Players can move at their own pace, take advantage of a diverse set of resources created by other players, and contribute their own knowledge and expertise back to the group. And perhaps most importantly, they have access to experts like Plott who share their talents for free. "StarCraft is a space of inquiry in which to test yourself," he says. "It is all about asking, 'What works here?' How cool is that?"

The embedded video is also very interesting - really, the meat of the article - because it provides a rare, behind-the-scenes look at how Blizzard works on their games.
"As I understand from your communication, Mr. Engle, you're on the brink of self-destruction. May I shake your hand? A brilliant idea! I speak as one who has destroyed himself a score of times.  I am, Mr. Engle, a veteran corpse. We are all corpses here! This rendezvous is one of the musical graveyards of the town. Caters to zombies hopping around with dead hearts and price tags for souls." - Angels Over Broadway

Bison

All I learned fron starcraft 2 is that I have slow gaming reaction speed.   I wish they had a slo-mo speed.

Interesting article but like Bison, my reflexes just aren't up to snuf.
"No wants, no needs, we weren't meant for that, none of us.  Man stagnates if he has no ambition, no desire to be more than he is."
