Looking at picking this one up on the flash sale, however just wondering if anyone is playing it and is it worth it?  Thanks in advance...

I played a couple of games, but I don't think my laptop is up to the job really.

If you have a good commander, and your team is willing to listen to him, you're usually in with a good shot at winning. Bad commanders kill everyone. Usually its a landgrab/resource hunt to open up the big buggers at the top of the tech tree, and then you storm the enemy.

Thanks...  This reminds me of Nuclear Dawn..... which is not a good thing.

I've not played that game, but it is very much like the original Savage: Battle for Newerth, basically an RTS/FPS combo, with one member of your team playing in RTS mode and the rest playing in FPS. I played Savage for months on end, competitively, we used to train a few nights a week, on twitch melee skills. Natural Selection is just a similar idea (which started as a Half Life mod) but with space marines and aliens. I think you need to be invested in playing regularly with a good commander to get the most out of the experience...
