IF you like DW then come out of the shadows to join a new Test Team for DW Shdows. The basic requirements are:

1. Must be an experienced and enthusiastic DW player
2. Must have available all previous versions of DW
3. Must have the time and patience to be good tester

If you meet the above requirements, send me an email to karlisr@matrixgames.com

Thank you!

I'm sorely tempted to apply, but it's debatable as to how well I fit the 1st and 3rd requirements.  (I'm an enthusiastic player, but probably not truly an "experienced" one.)

I happened to stumble on the posting from Karlis, not sure he meant to post it in that forum though *shrug*

That probably was deliberate.  He has posted beta invites before -- usually in a separate thread in the General Discussion forum, but he maybe posted it in that thread since it's stickied.

Becoming an 'experienced' tester isn't too difficult.  You can learn to get in the habit of noticing bugs, and noting them down/taking screenshots.  I'd say having the stamina to play something over & over, for a long period of time, is one of the most important factors of beta testing.  You gotta really enjoy the game to stick it out for a long stretch.  Unfortunately, you don't always know how much you'll be into one until you've had some time with it.

I've not always been able to always stick them out, myself.  While I've tested a good number of PC games in the past, there is at least one in which I had to politely bow out due to a lack of drive I discovered a short while after beginning.  If you find that your heart's just not in it, I suggest informing them so they can get a replacement ASAP and you can keep future testing possibilities open with them, as opposed to just ducking out and never being heard from again.

I hope this means DW: Shadows is coming pretty soon! Matrix betas usually take some time, but maybe we can see this one by Spring!
