It's been about a year since I finished my Skyrim campaign (and I'm definitely busy on other games), but I did want to hear about the upcoming new DLC, so I figured it was easier to start a thread on it and be registered for comments from the outset.  ;D
ICEBREAKER THESIS CHRONOLOGY! -- Victor Suvorov's Stalin Grand Strategy theory, in lots and lots of chronological order...
Dawn of Armageddon -- narrative AAR for Dawn of War: Soulstorm: Ultimate Apocalypse
Survive Harder! -- Two season narrative AAR, an Amazon Blood Bowl career.
PanzOrc Corpz Generals -- Fantasy Wars narrative AAR, half a combined campaign.
Khazâd du-bekâr! -- narrative dwarf AAR for LotR BfME2 RotWK campaign.
RobO Q Campaign Generator -- archived classic CMBB/CMAK tool!

I haven't seen any comments or reviews yet but I definitely am interested. I will however try to wait for a bit of a price drop first, like I did with Dawnguard.

Sir Slash

Agreed. The consule reviews are good but I also plan to wait for a sale. Unless my resolve weakens which it regularly does. It's $19 at Steam pre-order.
"Take a look at that". Sgt. Wilkerson-- CMBN. His last words after spotting a German tank on the other side of a hedgerow.

It should be available in most areas by this evening. 19.00 seems high to me for DLC but at 12 or 13 dollars I am a little more open. That's about what I bought Dawnguard for and I wasn't disappointed. Dragonborn gives me the impression that it is bigger than Dawnguard...thus weakening my resolve a bit :\

I am planning to return to Skyrim some day, but Ill go for a discount bundle on the DLC I think.
"Pilots do not get paid for what they do daily, but they get paid for what they are capable of doing.
However, if pilots would need to do daily what they are capable of doing, nobody would dare to fly anymore."

Kushan

I won't get it until Skyrim Redone supports it. I saw a new version of the mod was released today but since there isn't a change log I don't know if it does or not. I still think $20 is a little high for DLC, but my impression from reading the x-box reviews was that dragonborne was significantly bigger then dawnguard. I also don't think I will get it until I'm ready to start a new character, since upgrading major mods like Skyrim Redone usually isn't recommended.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

I haven't touched Skyrim in a while, due to time, but I think I'll wait for a bundle of the DLC's first. Although I'm worried that it'll most likely be in a Gold edition rather than a DLC bundle.

Toonces

I'll be paying full price and picking it up.  Skyrim satisfies.   8)

At the pace I am going by the time I finish everything in my current Skyrim the price will be nice and low and I am sure I will pick it up :)

Sweet we got Toonces on point for this one. Mission accomplished.

You guys can count on me for some impressions, although it will be next week probably before I sink my teeth into it.  By then the jungle drums will have given you an idea where this is all going.

For what it's worth anyway, since none of you listened to my thoughts on Dawnguard anyway... ::)

I know Ghostryder would have a kitten for me saying this, but I'm going to say it anyway:

Skyrim may be the best, most immersive RPG-type video game I have ever played.

I won't say best video game EVAR, because Falcon 4.0, WiTP, M2TW are also great games.  But when I was a kid playing Adventure on my Atari 2600 or Tunnels of Doom on my Ti-99, I never could have imagined playing something like Skyrim.  These guys can have my cash- they deserve it.

I agree with you. If I could only play one game going forward it would not be a.problem if it was Skyrim. I honestly don't remember what you said about Dawnguard but I enjoyed myself and got my money's worth.

One nice thing about Steam, they usually provide DLC discounts independently in purchase; and tend to discount items in groups at the same time. Not always, but usually. So any deal on Skyrim is likely to include discounts on the DLC which can be purchased separately from the main program.

Also, for Tunnels of Doom on the TI994A!!

(I actually have an irrational lust to play that game again now, despite knowing it couldn't possibly be as awesome as I remember it being. :) )
