What's odd to me is that this game was always supposed to use the Clausewitz engine that paradox owns. AGEOD was using that engine to design this game. AGEOD was never intending to use their AGE engine for this napoleon game so I am not sure what Johan was talking about.

All the information out there (videos, AAR, dev diary, etc.) leads me to the conclusion that I will enjoy this game. I pre-ordered a few days ago. Even if it turns out to be mediocre it's still ok for me with that low pricetag. ;)

Tuna

I pre-ordered, but to me the best part about this thread was finding out that I could play other Pardox games like Vicky 2 and CK2 without Steam... I set my son up, so he doesn't log me out of Steam when he plays!

Same here, waiting to see how this one turns out.  Would like to play some MP once I have the game mechanics down.

I also have a free copy of Sengoku and HOI III if anyone wants it.

I think this stuff usually pops out around noon Steam-time (West Coast?), although if you got the key elsewhere you may be able to unlock it earlier.

Really wish all their new stuff wasn't Steam-only.  >:(

I purchased on Gamersgate, so we'll see when it is made available...hopefully prior to the steam unlock:)

Key was available on GG, but I entered it on Steam and Steam says it's still locked..

Thanks tuna, mine is available too...likely can't use until 1pm eastern time.

well, to pass time, you can register the game at Paradox and get your special little forum avatar:)  Have to use the cd key as displayed within steam, not the actual steam code.

Yeah.  Hopefully once Steam is done taking half the day to put it up, they don't screw up the first version and make us wait another day before it's fixed, as I've seen them do in the past.  Sorry, but I don't always have a lot of faith when it comes to the Steam crew and the non-blockbuster titles.  They put the B-team on the job, occasionally. After perusing the manual a bit, I've been getting a bit stoked to see how it's turned out.  Still don't wanna get my expectations too high, so I'm attempting to disbelieve that everything will go off without a hitch. :P

Maybe I'll go fire up a new CK2 campaign in the meantime.

They screw up a lot with AAA titles just as well :P

There are 490 new MOTE forum avatars to browse through at Pdox.  As if I needed more.  ;D

I can play something else while I wait.  Doesn't Steam start their workday at 9am PST?

I dunno, but from what I've seen Steam doesn't start actually doing anything until the afternoon.
