Games That You Love But Suck At

I'm playing Shogun 2 at normal difficulty. I am fully surrounded by enemies. I am fighting for the Shogunate and the Imperials are just kicking ass and taking names. There's nowhere for me to hide. I am doing well tactically but I have fires to deal with everywhere.

Now see, just reading that makes me want to get the game all the more!  (Must...hold out...for Gold Edition...)

I got the Twin pack - both S2TW and FOTS disk from Game.co.uk There was a big difference in price between their web shop and actual retail outlet. They also threw in the Saga clan as a freebie, which I didn't realise till I got the game. IIRC it was quite a good price too. I got the other DLC from Gamersgate.

Gears of War Multiplayer...I have the reflexes for CoD and am pretty good at it. Gears I can play on hardened in Campaign, or Horde up to wave 30+ without dying. But I am not good in the MP...this rolling around with the shotgun and blam, and roll some more while reloading and blam...isn't my style it seems. Having gone through all 3 GoW games multiple times and still enjoying them and looking forward to GoW Judgement, but I doubt I will ever become good at the MP  ;)

^I'm not that good at GoW MP either but I am much better than in COD.  The trick I've found with the rolling around shotgunning style of many of the players in Gears MP is that you must maintain distance and pick them off from afar. 

When you do have to go stalking around tight corners or around cover have your shotty ready at all times.  Cover the area you are about to enter with it in case someone is waiting for you there.  Tag grenades on walls in case you need to retreat quickly, maybe you can lure your pursuer into that trap.

Most of the time when I get blown apart by a shotty, it's because I have trouble watching my six.  Someone always sneaks up on me.  Haven't figured out how to keep my head on a swivel yet in Gears.

Nope - no rugby sims. I did play a demo game quite a few years ago - but the play didn't really match the likes of Madden NFL games from a control pov (that translates to I sucked at it!). I would LOVE a rugby management sim - but I'd probably suck at it!
