 Has there been any information released that identifies key enhancements to this series?  Although looks pretty and I love the time period, just curious if anything gameplay wise is going to significantly change.

I've been clamoring for a grand strategy game that covers the Succession Wars on through the Roman Republic era.  Maybe even an earlier Greek & Persian start option.  Alas! 

I consider EU:Rome as never being properly filled out. :-[

Not that I recall.

EU:Rome started a few generations in, so that's the closest.  But that one is pretty threadbare when it comes to gameplay - like watching a clock tick away.

That's the one. But the cover is different and I definately paid more than $19 for it. I knew very little about this period and this book was a great read for me. Kind of like a ganster movie. As soon as Alexander died they were all waiting to start "Whacking" each other. I loved it.

The only game set in the Successor period that I am aware of is Strength and Honor.
Had potential but the combat system was not detailed enough for my taste.

What about AGEODs birth of Rome? Does that have the scenario you are looking for? I mean, it's not Macedonia. But the Samnites wars and 1st Punic wars are at least in the ballpark right?
