Looks great. Thanks for the heads-up.

It looks very pretty, and an entertaining video, but is SOOO vanilla with the regular, stereotyped appearance of the troops. :o I hope it will be easy for the modders to reskin them according to what archaeology tells us they'd look like. I hope they don't make wardogs as a unit as they did in RTW, nor any of the other fantasy units either. You can tell I'm a Rome:Total Realism fan can't you.... ::)
The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own. Aldous Huxley

I want Attack Elephants! It's interesting we've not seen any Eastern troop types as yet displayed.

Yeah, a little more historical authenticity this time around would be appreciated.  I realize fun/gameplay still trumps realism, and I'm probably not quite as anal about accuracy as some, but they could at least avoid the more "out there" units such as the Wardogs, I agree.

That being said, however...  For me personally, so long as they manage to give the game decent AI and don't repeat the utterly atrocious voice-acting from its predecessor, everything else is gravy.  ;)

I do hope we see a more authentic Ptolemaic Egypt this time around.  That faction was, if anything, even more ill-treated than the various barbarian clans IMO.

I still like the war dogs.

War dogs are cool but nothing beat the infected pig carcases you could fling over the walls with your trebuchets in MTW.   ;D

^Cows, they were cows! You're thinking of the flaming pigs in the original Rome: Total War.

I think a great campaign would be Alexander's Successors, the Diadochi, with early Rome and Carthage growing in the western Med.

Master Chiefs are sneaky, dastardly, and snarky miscreants who thrive on the tears of Ensigns and belly dancers.   Admiral Gerry Bogan.

^There's a few books out now about Alexander's successor kingdoms and their wars that look great. That's an area of history I know nothing about and would make for a great Total War game.
