Time for an informal poll!  Which is easier to do :

1. Convince SoM to review a game he really likes

2. Convince Gus to buy a game

SoM's time is not really his own these days. He's actually quite busy. We got lucky on this one :)

In the last two weeks I have bought exactly zero games. I have been catching up on games I already own loke Civ V and Mark of the Ninja. The one item I will be buying for certain is the upcoming Dishonored DLC. I have turned over a new leaf.

One more minor criticism of this otherwise great game.  The box the game comes in is of substandard quality.  The plastic is noticeably thinner then on standard XBOX cases and the tabs where the box snaps shut are flimsy and don't align well.

^No Gus.  This time I'm not kidding.  I really do think the plastic box the game comes in is a tad bit flimsier then the normal game box.  It almost has the Poland Spring water bottle thinness feel to it if you know what I mean.  I'll take some photos tonight when I get home and present them here.

I am hoping that the cheapness of the box is the worst to be found with this game.

Yeah don't get me wrong.  Bioshock Infinite is a great game worthy of the Bioshock name.  I just find it curious that the game packaging is substandard.  The other complaint is the 'checkpoint' save system and lack of manual saves.  The story and the characters are very appealing as well as the gameplay.

Ok so I finished the game last night and all I can say is that Bioshock Infinite must win best story of the year in videogames.  Unless another game gets released before the end of 2013 Bioshock takes the cake gentlemen. 

I would discuss the mind blowing ending here but don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't finished the game yet but suffice it to say, you will not be disappointed.  I will say this though, finish the story and the ending will either leave you frustrated and baffled or blown away at it's revelation.

So you don't need to have played the first two games? Are there recurring characters?

There are no recurring characters so if you have not played 1 and/or 2 you won't feel like you missed something.  The impact of the mind blowing is magnified greatly however if you at least played 1 which was the case with me.  Playing 1 or 2 previously is not a prerequisite though to Infinite and one will still be blown away with the ending.
