Dominions 3 CDKey to Desura Key?

Does anyone know if Illwinter are considerate enough to take an original CD key for Dominions 3 (with proof of purchase) and are willing to convert it, transfer it into a Desura key for the game?

Has anyone done it? Or do we have any "insiders" who know the Illwinter lot and see if they're amenable to such a gesture of good will?

I've put a mail into the folks at Illwinter explaining my predicament, so if I hear back I will let folks here know.

I hope they do, because I did import the game years ago, with full manual and CD at great cost to myself... surely the great Pretenders will shine a light of sympathy upon me?

It's on a CD, and I've just had one CD fail on me. I thought I could get it transferred to Desura and then I wouldn't have the hassle if my aging plastic collection starts to throw read errors etc.

Out of interest whats the issue with the Desura client and Dominions 3?

Yeah I think the Desura client is pretty good, never had a problem with it.  I hope you get it sorted spelk.

I don't have Dom3 on Desura but have had tons of trouble with Xenonauts using the client.
