If you discover a way to improve water pressure please post it. I have been looking for that info for a decade.

I am assuming you are on a well?  If so when is the last time you had the well and pipe from underground inspected.  Growing up we lost water pressure gradually over a number of years.  Finally my dad pulling the tubing up out of the ground at the head of the well and found where a rock must have been rubbing on the pipe over a number of years finally making a hole though it and thus leading to lower water pressure.  He patched the tube and reinforced the area and it was fine after that.

We had the well refractured about 4 years ago. With this summer's renovations, if we can hook up to public water and sewer we are going to do that.

you sly fox you.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

There is a waterfall about 1000 feet from my house, seriously.

Well, move 1000 feet and you'll have more water pressure.
Its so comforting to know that, in times of need, this sort of practical and helpful advice is so readily available.

Getting back to Bison's issue of water pressure.... is it a neighbourhood issue or specific to your house? I hope its a common problem. Maybe you have a well and just need to adjust the regulator
My doctor wrote me a prescription for daily sex.

My wife insists that it says dyslexia but what does she know.

Hey, look! A sighting of Petrified Wood!
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Well we're on the city water main.  I've been meaning to talk with the neighbors about their water pressure levels, but I suspect it is a neighborhood wide issue.

My next project is to make a cabinet and workbench setup in the garage followed by a retaining wall in the backyard.

If you have access to a pressure gauge, you can hook up to the connection coming into your house and check the pressure (or get Joe plumber to come check it for you).  If it's too low, you should ask the city to come out and check the position of the curb stop valve coming into your house from the corporation stop.  You can also check the PRV and adjust it if needed.

If the issue is neighbourhood wide, you can look into installing a small reservoir tank underground and hooking up a booster pump, pressure regulating valve, and a pressure sustaining valve.  Or you can build a raised cistern, pump water into that and rely on head pressure to give you adequate water pressure in the house.

It dries out in the summer.

Then stop sending the wife to camp during the summer heat.

Overkill. He said it was one toilet not the house. Probably a stuck ball float.

Well the water pressure issue is the whole house.  The toilet was but a symptom of the low pressure.  I think it might be worth at least having the pressure from the city line checked.
