The Jodi Arias trial

I'm proud that the Jodi Arias jury here in Phoenix did the right thing. The jurors from the Casey Anthony trial would have probably found that Travis Alexander committed suicide. I'm glad to see that our trial and jury system isn't completely broken, despite the massive amounts of money spent on the trial.

I hope they don't let her out on the streets any time soon.

I really don't believe she will ever walk free again. If they don't give her death, life in prison seems a pretty solid bet. The jury verdict didn't cut her any slack. She said in an interview afterward that she wasn't expecting a conviction on the first degree murder charge.

Her transformation from porn star killer to homely looking librarian for the trial was interesting amd nauseating at the same time.

I saw a report where she's now claiming she wants the death penalty.

Something about that suggests to me that she's just trying to exercise one last bit of control over a process she no longer has any control over. I'm not sure what that says about her mental state, but I suspect it's not insignificant.
