They say they have a player vs bots/A.I match.

I'm just wondering if they'll ever have hotseat, or if the founders packs are truly worth it.
Not to mention how much replayability it's going to have.

Perhaps I am a bit doom and gloom; but more and more mainstream developers are working on multiplayer only or limited single player games and this combined with the act of compartmentalisation of games to make more revenue is starting to take the fun out of gaming for me.

I just don't know where you are getting this. There have been many more games with strong single-player contact (some exclusively single-player) released in the last year or soon to be released than there have that focus on multi-player. I would make a list but there are so many I'm sure I would forget some.

I play single-player almost exclusively, and have not wanted for new games to play.

I signed up but haven't paid for founders' packs yet. I do want access to the beta; but I haven't been sent my email confirmation for merely signing up yet.

They're limiting the population, since it's still closed beta. So invites are few & far between.

I splurged on the $20 founder pack since it's a turn-based version with tabletop-ish mechanics.

Yeah, but I can't even buy a founder's pack because the email verification hasn't occurred yet. I mean I can't even try to buy a founder's pack.

Ouch. I eyed that Kenshi alpha awhile back but it sounded like it'd be in permanent Alpha. :o

Did you check your spam mail? I'm pretty sure my registration went through within a few seconds, after I first signed up. That was a few months ago, however.

To keep this on topic, SQUEEEEEEEE, too! And for all the same reasons.

Off topic, multiplayer being prominent. The generation growing up now is so connected to everything going on around them that MP is probably not given a second thought. I would say that if a game does not have MP in the future, it may not have as great a following. Just my .02.

I've also splurged, for the Vet founder pack. Only managed to fit a single game against the AI in, but it seems very serviceable. It's a bit slow on my old PC, and I had to turn down all the graphics settings, but it still worked. It has a planned Attack then Movement phase and once they're locked in, you watch it all resolve simultaneously.

I registered yonks ago, but couldn't remember my password, tried resetting it, but it said my account address was invalid, even though I'd been getting their info mails since I joined! So I started to create a new account, and it then recognised me, allowed me to change the password, and send an activation code through. However, the first one didn't make it. So I got them to re-send it again, and it come through.

So perhaps request the activation email again?
