Tonight's episode was post-Ultron. And now we know where the flying Aircraft Carrier came from. Next week Colson finds Nick Fury's missing eye. ;D

So binged watch the final 14 episodes or so of S2 this weekend. Give it a B+ overall. The chick-on-chick fight scenes were A+.

It has it slow spots and it felt like they stretched a number of episodes at the end just to fill out a 22 ep season. That said, I felt the same thing happened in S1. The pay off at the end of the second season was not nearly as exciting or satisfying as the end of S1.

I will give major props to Kyle McLachlan. He was consistently awesome all season. He pretty much owned every scene he was in.

And Ward has become one of the most interesting characters on the show.

I thought the pacing was overall much better for Season Two. Some of the plot stupidities remained, but overall a tighter and more Marvel-ous show.

I tend to agree. It was tighter overall, more of a continuous arc. It's still not a 'great' show, but it has enough great moments to keep me watching. The chick fights don't hurt either.

Fun trivia: the woman who played the red-haired multi-body ninja in the season finale, was also the stunt double for Mockingbird during the series (though the actress also did as much of her own work as possible). The crew (and the actress, whose name I kind of hate not being able to recall, argh) were so appreciative they wrote her a special part for the finale.

Where she naturally also got to fight a lot as Mockingbird. >:D I recall one of the recap sites summarizing that finale as "A lot of people fight a lot of other people, but the unlucky ones get to fight Mockingbird."

It knows its audiences.

In fact, when it came back from the 3/4 season break for the final stretch (after Av2), it HEAVILY PROMOTED the ass-kicking women as its major draw.
