I meant in the sense that my grandmother is actually still living.  (102 years old, and still going strong!)  If we go by who has the oldest grandparents period, then our more distinguished members like bob and Greybriar are certainly going to take that one.  :P

102! Congratulations!
My Grandmother lived to 96 but her last decade was not a happy one due to her dementia. I'm glad to hear yours is doing well. I imagine she has quite a few stories to tell about her perspective on the great events of the last century.

Wow. I like the idea of Greybriar and I being elevated in status to 'Distinguished' as opposed to 'Old Farts'  ;)

^No one says you can't be both.

I've known about Martok's Grandmother for some time and want him to pen her biography, especially up to the age of ten!

My great grandmother is long dead. And she was born in Ukraine, not the US. Despite both those key items she would have been a Grover Cleveland baby :) (1895)

I'm feeling a bit left out, so I thought I'd chip in with a UK entry.

It seems that Clement Attlee was PM when I was born, and not, as some of you may think, Benjamin Disraeli.  ;D

I would have put money on Walpole.

Technically I'm a Ford baby, as I was born December 1976.  How woefully undistinctive.  :-\

dont sell yourself short.  youre cool enough that Im pretty sure you were concieved in a Chevy.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Nevet heard of the bugger, Gus. So I looked him up;

Robert Walpole, 1st Earl of Orford, KG, KB, PC (26 August 1676 – 18 March 1745), known before 1742 as Sir Robert Walpole, was a British statesman who is generally regarded as the first Prime Minister of Great Britain. Although the position of "Prime Minister" had no recognition in law or official use at the time, Walpole is nevertheless acknowledged as having held the office de facto because of his influence within the Cabinet.

So, you know more'n me, mate.

I was just going for the 300 years between Walpole and us, Bawb. But if you as a Brit never heard of him, maybe I should have just used...William Pitt (The Elder)?

^Pitt the Infant, according to Blackadder.

However, I lament my lack of knowledge of British PM's - who, lets face it, have by-and-large been a bunch of useless tossers anyway, and only qualified for the job because they were too dopey to get proper work.

Bah! - Bring back Oli Cromwell, says I. He was always good for a laugh.

HA tossers. I dig most US Presidents. Except the likes of Franklin Pierce, Andrew Johnson and the wet farts we've been stuck with for the last 13 years.

Depends. I'm 53, but I was born the week before JFK won election and two months before he was inaugurated. So I'm just barely an Eisenhower baby.

You've been misrepresented Steelie. I thought you were OLD old. 53 is simply old.  ;D

It occurred to me recently, that at 42, I'm now middle aged. That realization was an onion in the ointment.

I remember being a kid and thinking that 40 was ancient! Funny how our perspective changes. I consider myself to still be middle aged. The good part of the equation is that I am more comfortable in my skin than I was at 20...or 30...or 40.  I know who I am and I'm ok with it.

Gee, that almost sounds kind of "Dexter"ish......ha!

I feel like I'm just hitting my stride. For a long time I still felt, more or less, like the same "kid" I was at 20. It's really only in my 40s that I've felt "mature", still don't feel old at all.
