I agree with 40. I don't need anymore standalone Spiderman films at this point, but he would be a welcome addition to the other MCU franchises.

I actually get a kick out of the new Spider-Man cartoon, "Ultimate Spider-Man".  Spidey's on a SHIELD team with Nova, Iron Fist, Power Man, and White Tiger.

I forgot the Gambit film was still up for next year. I forget who played him in Wolvergins, but he was one of the genuinely good things in that movie. (To be fair there were several genuinely good things in that movie.)

Someone better start some serious scripting if they're going to avoid another disaster for Wolvie3 two Marches from now.

Wait, there's really an X-Force movie in development? Not sure that I care...

I saw that.  I still think it's crap.  I get why filmmakers do it with books.  I just don't have to like it.

I don't mind it so much. There's no real continuity in comic books anyway. Some purple asteroid crosses Earth's orbit and suddenly there's a whole new timeline with the Argyle Avenger ruler of the planet.

There's no real continuity in comic books anyway.

I get that, too.  But some of the fun of comics for me is reading fifty or sixty or a hundred issues in a row and the internal consistency you get from that.  Everything that is happening in the now harkens back to what happened then.  And while you can retcon history, it's usually to bring back a major villain or nemesis.  And sure, there's enough examples I am sure you can cite that say, 'It was this way and now it's that because a meteor crashed/the Beyonder/different Earth/timeline/etc.,' but it seems that happens a lot less in long running books LIKE the Avengers.  And if it does happen in X-Men or FF, there's usually a concerted effort to 'get back to our own time.'  So the adventure becomes canon, but not, 'reality (from the characters viewpoint, of course).'  It just seems lazy and very 'Hollywood,' to just take a property and do whatever you'd like to it regardless of what is already there.  And THAT'S what pisses me off! ;) [/rantoff]

Chris Hemsworth and Comics Alliance drop some big hints about the upcoming Av2 not being ultimately about what it seems to be: Ultron isn't the main villain after all!

When interviewer Mike Sampson visited the set, Thor was busy fighting someone at his own strength level, someone he hadn't fought (or necessarily even met) before. A fight which seems to connect to Thor having figured out over the movie that a threat from Asgard (or beyond Asgard but connected to it) is what's happening here.

While that seems like Loki might be involved (currently ruling Asgard in sequence having disposed of Odin somehow), the impression being given is that Loki isn't the threat. Whoever he's fighting in this scene is someone Mike wasn't expecting at all (and can't talk about yet), though of course that could still be a minion.
