This is an interesting article.

QuoteOne particular troll, @Jimmyob88, had been harassing the boxer in tweets and in direct messages for six months, according to Woodhouse. "He'd threatened my children saying 'be careful where you send them to school,' he threatened my wife. He'd written me saying he hoped I'd die in my next fight so I could go and see my dead dad ... it just went on and on."

But after the bully branded the boxer a "disgrace" and a "complete joke" and urged him to retire following his fight last month, Woodhouse finally snapped and, rather than trade blows online, he used Twitter to turn the tables on his troll.

Woodhouse put a "Twitter bounty" out on @Jimmyob88's head, offering anyone £1,000 for information about the user's real identity. Within minutes he had his troll's real name -- James O'Brien -- some photos of O'Brien and his home address. Woodhouse decided to make a house call.

All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Jay and Silent Bob did something similar at the end of "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back".

but in this crazy world  of political correctness , i bet that bully would be even able to sue the RL -doorknocker for stalking and win the case, what bitter irony ... caus the society (what ever that means) dont like it if ppl take  those things into their own hands and encourage to go the juristic way like file a charge against the bully for cyber mobbing

in Germany we had cases where a thief (car radio) sued the owner of the car who had gripped him an hold him in a fix grip until police car arrived for his minor bruises injury he got when struggling to break the grip... and won.

Wow, I wonder what the German authorities would think about how we handle things in Oklahoma:   http://www.newson6.com/story/22751588/tulsa-homeowner-ties-up-man-attempting-to-break-into-his-home

I'm sure I read about this, and the boxer didn't make any threats or even make that "house call" - the "troll" was just so frightened when he lost his anonymity that he apologized profusely.

Fix grip = vise grip? Wrong tool, use the rubber mallet on the forehead.

na not with a tool ;)    more like subdued, hindered to escape

i would use improvised flex cuffs if i have to arrest a guy as a citizen until police show up to take over...
should be easy to flex cuff an unconscious person ;)
