I'm not a huge fan, but I have great respect for his work. And he gave us the basis for Justified, which is one of my favorite TV shows of all time.

I also hate that he didn't like 2004 adaptation of The Big Bounce.  I love that flick and there are so many quotable lines in it that it's crazy

Yeah, I thought The Big Bounce was decent. Leonard generally was not pleased with the screen adaptations of his work. He did approve of Justified though.

Aw, man. I kinda like his stuff, although it does all begin to bleed together if you start reading a few of his books back to back to back.
