PMDG 777 is now compatible with Steam Edition.
Need to download a new installer though.

QuoteWe have so much to share with you this weekend. This is just the first part of many!
Last night we released updates to both of the of our FSX based 777 products in order to make them compatible with both FSX and FSX:Steam Edition (FSX SE)
In the process of building this update, we have updated the 777s to version 1.10.6320, which we are calling SP1d... I want to be absolutely clear that SP1d and SP1c are functionally identical, except for some structural changes that will not impact your use of the software.
If you are running FSX ONLY - then this update IS NOT necessary for you.
If you wish to use the 777s in FSX:SE, then you will need this update.
Now here is where there is a change you should pay attention to! In the past we have created update installers that were around 130MB or so- and you simply downloaded these in order to update your installation. This time, because of the changes we had to make to our installation process in order to account for FSX:SE- you will need to download the entire installer, fresh from our system... There is no "patch" installer for either the PMDG 777-200LR/F or the PMDG 777-300ER.
You can find the downloads by logging onto your eCommerce account, clicking on previous orders, and selecting the appropriate product.

I saw that. I have the ngx, via disk. When the fix comes for that I hope that include disk fix. Still not moving till ASN is fixed.

PGm 4117 via dlc atgm release via SSHD with a 4 pentaGus upload.
this is great because it enables 3d inverse retina detachment FF is 12 axis and multi screen supp0rt.
usb rectal probe optional and 5x5 on a JTACS direct freak.

Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

GDS_Starfury

all joking aside, the gamer in me applaud you guys.

Im still sit here and look at the GTOS screen like Gus looking at the difficulty setting in RTW2.   :-[

PMDG 777 P3D released.

There is a migration tool that transfers fsx content into p3d.  After playing fsx se heavily, I can say it's not much better than regular fsx.  What is better is p3d.  If you guys are going to move your fsx engine anywhere it should be to p3d.  Or just switch to xplane, I have been doing both.

I just saw that FSX@War has released the first part of its package, the Carrier and Convoy Planner.

Don't ask me what it is, or what it does; I don't have TacPack yet.  Although, this might be enough to get me to invest in the F-14 or Superbug and TacPack finally.  Gonna wait and see what the masses have to say about this first.  I'm still not sure if there is anything (interesting) to do in single player, or if it's MP only, and if MP, who the heck do I play with?

Carrier and Convoy Planner (CCP)
An exciting but dangerous world, which is sufficient in itself initially, but will be fully integrated, soon, to FSX@War.
In your own way and according to the missions you decide to develop, land and sea convoys. Merchant ships or war ships, friends or foes, destroy or protect, defensless or able to defend themselves, to fight back. You will need to stop the threatening convoys of military vehicles that push on the rural roads in the outskirts of cities in hostile territory.
Both static and/or moving targets to exercise your Fighter Pilot, Navigator, the Weapons System Operator talents or air controller aboard AWACS for example.
More than ever radar, FLIR and all the avionics mastering will be essential assets during your missions.
Once again, in Single or Multiplayer from Allied Air Bases, but also from a moving aircraft carrier at sea, with air refueling tankers, you can practice your tactician skills and you will need to remain alert to avoid becoming a target yourself!

I've been following this as well. Don't own TAC PAK so I can't test it, but I do have the F-14.  Could be an alternative to hold us over until those must have DCS projects come to fruition.

Interesting.  I've been out of FSX for a while.  But this is better than DCS if it does combat well.  Why?  Because you have the whole world as your map.

Yskonyn

Well define 'doing combat well'. :)

Claiming its must be better than DCS because you will have the whole world as a sole reason is paper thin to me, though. (No offense meant) :D

Have any of you undergone any formal VATSIM "training"?

I'm planning on returning to FSEconomy/Prepar3d and I'd like to finally try my hand at VATSIM for something other than the occasional flight following check in.

Tuna

I always feared it because of my partial deafness.. I think Jomni did it a a lot.. There's also a paid service called Pilot's Edge, but it only support Southwest US, but they have coverage everywhere and they're professional

republic

Hey thanks Tuna, I'd forgotten about Pilot's Edge.  It'd be worth paying for a couple of months just to do their training program and learn without feeling like I'm fouling things up for other people.
