Space Marine is a great game but different from the Dawn of War series. 


Nice tip Shelldrake, I've been wanting DoW Retribution for ages.  I'd rather get it on Steam but since they do not seem to be putting it on sale anytime soon, Gamersgate here I come.


Btw, if you see something on sale at Gamersgate, can it mean that a similar sale is not too far away on Steam or vice versa?

I bought all the DoW II titles at a similar Gamersgate sale last year and they are all activated and running through Steam.

Space Marine I loved but it was my first foray into WH40K...seasoned vets may not like it as much. I got about 20 hours of play out of it and may actually play it again...getting in the mood.

Buy it! If you like the WH40K universe and play FPS games that is a steal.

This is sometimes the case, but not always.   

I often see one of them have a sale on, say, Total War stuff and then the other will have a sale on the same ones about two weeks later.  However, the prices aren't always the same.  I've been seeing the Dawn of War stuff on sale almost every month at Steam, but for only about 30% off.  Now GG has them for 50% off.   Even though I dislike straight RTS games, I was even half tempted at the DOW2 collection or whatever for $15.  But I know that I'd play it for about 30 minutes and then probably not bother much with it ever again.  :-[  So my willpower won out!  Yay!

It's a Steamworks game anyway, so just plug the serial key in to the Steam client and download it there in the first place.
